For you shall live forever in my poem
That future eyes your wonders may amaze,
And softer than grave lines etched in hard stone,
These lines in time, the betterment of ways;
Though portraits and mementos may attest
Commitment of true lovers to those passed,
A lyric memory where love is professed-
The sweetest memoir yet to Time outlast.
Irrepressible beauty, I first scrive,
Then sterling virtue yet beyond compare,
Angelic harmony with heart divine
And elegance that makes a sovereign stare.
As golden ink may flow from humble pen
So shines a worth that shan’t be seen again.
